A majority of the entire School Committee shall constitute a quorum for purposes of taking action. Thus, four members present constitute a quorum. When an item of business comes before the School Committee in the form of a motion, it is necessary that a majority of those present vote in favor of the motion for the School Committee to act, regardless of the number of School Committee members present at the time.
