The Yarmouth School Committee voted on February 28 to remove the universal mask mandate in all Yarmouth Schools as of Monday, March 7, 2022, thereby making face coverings optional as of that date. This will also apply on school buses.

The School Department will continue to practice social distancing in each school (to the extent possible) and pooled testing will remain in place during the 2021-2022 school year.

In his letter to the school community, Superintendent Andrew Dolloff explained the measures being taken to continue to keep students and staff safe as the data from the pandemic trend in a very positive direction in Yarmouth. A follow-up letter posted on March 2 announces the removal of Maine's recommendation that all schools require masks and updates the information on bus requirements.
