YARMOUTH SCHOOL DEPARTMENT

On Thursday, June 25, Superintendent of Schools Andrew Dolloff proposed to the School Committee the formation of an Equity Task Force comprised of more than two dozen members of our school community.  This Task Force will work to promote inclusion, identify systemic inequities, and illuminate all forms of institutional bias in the Yarmouth Schools pertaining to race, religion, country of origin, gender or gender identity, age, sexual orientation, disability, socio-economic status, or any other protected category or group identity.  This work will be guided by consultants with a great deal of experience helping communities and organizations address these critical topics.  We hope to engage many community members as we embark on this meaningful journey toward a more equitable school system, and more news will be forthcoming about the opportunity for participation.
