In May, 2015, the Yarmouth School Committee approved the work of the Strategic Planning Team, resulting in adoption of " Vision 2020: Planning for Student Success", a five-year plan for the Yarmouth Schools.
When the COVID-19 pandemic hit in the spring of 2020, we were just about to begin our work developing a new strategic plan. Due to the interactive nature of this work, the decision was made to postpone a district wide planning initiative and conduct a school-based "refresh" of the current plan, which involved review by the District Leadership Team, school-based teams, the Equity Task Force, and the School Committee. On April 8, 2021, the School Committee adopted Beyond 2020 as a placeholder for the more extensive strategic planning that will take place in 2021-2022.
This plan provides guidance for the district as we address the many challenges and opportunities that are before us. We invite you to join us as we work to Empower Students each day.
