Dear Yarmouth Families,
I am honored to write to you today for the first time as Superintendent of Yarmouth Schools. Having served our district for the past five years, and as a member of this community and parent of two Yarmouth students, I have come to know firsthand what makes our schools so special. I am excited to build on Yarmouth's tradition of excellence alongside an exceptional team of educators, administrators, and staff who are deeply committed to our students and community. Our mission is to empower all students to create fulfilling lives in a changing world, and this will continue to guide our work and the decisions we make every day. Students will remain at the heart of every decision we make, and I look forward to partnering with our students, families, staff, and community.
To guide my first several months as Superintendent, I have developed a Superintendent Entry Plan focused on listening, learning, and building relationships across our district. I will meet with students, staff, families, community partners, and town leaders to better understand Yarmouth's strengths, identify growth opportunities, and hear our community's aspirations for the future of Yarmouth Schools. These conversations, together with district data and feedback, will help inform our work and shape the district's future priorities. I look forward to sharing what I learn with the community in December.
There will be many opportunities for engagement over the coming months, including focus groups, surveys, school visits, and meetings with stakeholder groups. As part of the process, I invite families to join me this summer for one of three Community Conversations. These informal gatherings are an opportunity to share your experiences and perspectives, discuss what makes Yarmouth Schools special, and share your hopes for the future. Whether you have been part of our district for many years or are new to Yarmouth Schools, I hope you will join me. My hope is that every family feels heard, valued, and connected as we begin this next chapter together. Please click HERE to register.
