Dr. Heather Manchester has been named the Assistant Superintendent for Teaching & Learning for the coming year.
Dr. Manchester comes to Yarmouth from MSAD 17, where she has served as the Superintendent of Schools for the past four years. Prior to serving as Superintendent, Dr. Manchester was a Director of Curriculum for eight years. In addition, she has experience as an English Teacher and Instructional Coach with RSU16 (Poland Regional High School).
Dr. Manchester holds a bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Classical Civilization from Wheaton College, a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction (Literacy) from Lesley University, and a doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Maine.
Dr. Manchester replaces Ms. Shanna Crofton, who has been named Yarmouth's Superintendent of Schools for the 2026-2027 school year.
