On Thursday, June 25, Superintendent of Schools, Andrew Dolloff, presented the framework the Yarmouth School Department will follow to develop reopening plans for the 2020 school year. During the presentation, Dr. Dolloff reiterated that it is the administration's desire to provide for a full reopening of schools, but that a prudent approach is to also prepare for a reopening that brings 50% or fewer students to school each day. Dr. Dolloff's slides may be viewed here, and an update will be provided at the School Committee meeting on July 16 at 7:00 p.m.
We recognize the need for families to plan for daycare, transportation, and many other aspects of life as the fall approaches, and we are committed to making thoughtful, informed, and timely decisions about what school will look like in the coming year. Please bear with us as information changes rapidly, and we are making every effort to get us all back to school in a safe and responsible manner.
