On Monday, January 11 we were notified that an individual associated with Yarmouth High School tested positive for COVID-19. Because this person developed symptoms less than 48 hours after having been at the school, we have been directed by the CDC to notify students and adults who had close contact with the individual that they must quarantine for 10 days from last contact.

It is our intent to maintain the current, hybrid schedule at the High School so long as we do not have significant numbers of staff in quarantine as a result of this case. We will keep you informed of any adjustments to that plan as the day progresses.

We are pleased to share that the case reported on Friday, January 8 was a false positive. The individual received a negative PCR test over the weekend, and we were able to release from quarantine more than 50 individuals.
