Maine CDC reduces out of state quarantine time

Tuesday, December 08, 2020

The Maine CDC recently revised their guidelines, reducing the number of days anyone traveling to Maine from another state (other than New Hampshire or Vermont) must quarantine or provide documentation of a negative COVID-19 antigen or molecular (PCR, NAAT, or isothermal) test.  The required quarantine period is now 10 days, with 4 additional days of monitoring for symptoms.

Individuals traveling (or returning) to Maine from another state may forego the 10-day quarantine by providing documentation of a negative result on a COVID-19 antigen or molecular test administered no more than 72 hours prior to their arrival in Maine.  You may read more about Maine’s travel restrictions on the State’s website.
