Dear Rowe Families,
Yet another month is almost over! Thus far, the protocols we have in place and the cooperation and open communication we have received from so many of you have allowed us to remain in the hybrid model. We are hopeful this will continue but recognize that we can’t predict what may happen in the coming months. We are working to prepare for any potential shifts in programming as the year progresses. I am sharing a document that will give you a general idea of what a fully remote scenario may entail along with some other information that will hopefully prove useful. We want you to rest assured that there will be direct communication and a detailed schedule provided within a day or two of any extended closures that we may need to make. As we head into the Thanksgiving holiday, please take a few minutes to look over your child's school-issued iPad for any physical problems. Most iPads will be getting at least a little, if not a lot, dirty by now. Please follow these directions so that your child's school-issued iPad looks fresh and clean after the Thanksgiving break!

Travel plans
If you have any questions about your child’s return to school after the break, I have included a portion of Dr. Dolloff’s recent message in regard to travel plans.
Any staff or students who travel to any state other than New Hampshire or Vermont (no restrictions for these two states only as of 11/16/20; subject to change), they will be required to either:
quarantine for 14 days upon return to Maine, or
quarantine until receiving a negative test result. The test must be taken either:
a.) in the state you are visiting and no more than 72 hours prior to your return to Maine, or
b.) once you return to Maine.
Any staff or students who have travelled to restricted states will not be permitted inside the school building until either the negative test result or 14 days has occurred.
This is not dependent on the length of time spent within the restricted states, meaning that a day visit still requires any person to quarantine for 14 days or until a negative test result is confirmed. All members of the household who travel must test or quarantine if over 12 months old. Testing site information for Maine can be found here.
Any person who is quarantining should stay home, and not have in-person contact with others unless there is an emergency.
I hope you all have a wonderful break and can enjoy some well deserved and safe time with your family. Following the recommended guidelines will greatly improve the chances of keeping us all healthy as we make our way through this challenging time.
