Maine High School Assessment /SAT
As part of Maine's response to the No Child Left Behind legislation, beginning in 2006 all Maine students in their 3rd year of high school have been required to take SAT tests in critical reading, writing, and mathematics. 2014 marks the final year of this requirement, as the state of Maine will join two dozen other states in requiring that schools assess students using the Smarter Balanced test beginning in 2015.

In the charts below, you will find the percentage of students who "meet" or "exceed" the standard set by the Maine Department of Education in each year of testing.
