Yarmouth Town Notice regarding Halloween

posted Oct 31, 2017, 5:26 AM by Andrew Dolloff
The following notice is forwarded from Yarmouth Town Officials:
We recognize that some trick or treaters will be out tonight regardless of any alternatives or advice that may be offered.  There are down and hanging utility lines, dark streets with debris and fallen trees, and people in dark homes hoping to keep out the cold temperatures forecast.   It is advisable to postpone Trick or Treating until Friday night, and we suggest residents offer Fridaynight trick or treating to children who reschedule the fun for the sake of safety precautions.  For those who will Trick or Treat today, we recommend going before it gets dark.  Carry a flashlight, wear reflective clothing, and be very careful around any wires or downed trees and branches.  Stay clear of any generators running.
