On Thursday, May 11, the Yarmouth Town Council voted unanimously to send the School Department's proposed budget for the 2017-18 school year to the voters of the town.  A two-step voting process must be followed in order to adopt the budget:
Tuesday, June 6:  Town Meeting will be held at Harrison Middle School at 7:00 p.m., where voters will set the budget to be moved forward to referendum.  It is critical for residents to attend this meeting in order to adopt a budget that truly reflects the voters' values.
Tuesday, June 13:  Budget Referendum will be held, with voting taking place at the R.W. Boyd AmVets hall on North Road.  Again, it is vital for all registered voters to cast their ballots to approve a budget that is in the best interests of all citizens.
