Lunch time was particularly exhilarating with students participating in a soup taste testing event at Yarmouth Elementary School. There were four soups available: corn chowder, butternut bisque, potato leek and chicken soup with rice. Students were asked to vote good, awesome, or not good after trying each one. The winning soup with 224 "awesome" votes was chicken soup with rice. Second place was potato leek with 206 "awesome" votes. Students also had a chance to see the making of potato leek soup in Ms. Rhoads' class earlier in the week. They put together a "Souper Soup Show" video for everyone.
On the February lunch menu we had the very same homemade chicken soup with rice available everyday the first week. The second week, students enjoyed potato leek soup, the second place winner.
