New! Yarmouth Education Foundation

The newly created Yarmouth Educational Foundation (YEF) is a non-profit organization supported by citizens dedicated to enriching the overall educational experience of students in the Yarmouth School Department.   The purpose of  YEF is to provide supplemental private funding for our public school to support innovative educational programs.    While Yarmouth is recognized as one of the top public school districts in the state of Maine and in the nation, private funding can help sustain that high quality of education. 

The Yarmouth Education Foundation will:
  • Solicit for and fund initiatives that fall outside the school budget
  • Collaborate with educators to help achieve the vision of the Yarmouth School Department
  • Cultivate an environment where educators are recognized for their unique forward-thinking contributions
There are many ways you can become  involved with YEF.  Below are 5 areas with opportunities for volunteers with a variety of skills:
  • Marketing & Communications
  • Fundraising
  • Grants
  • Finance
  • Governance
