Dear Parents and Guardians,

Please note that we are now at the midpoint of the third quarter, and progress reports have been finalized.  If your student has a “CINC,” this represents a Cornerstone Assessment which is Incomplete.  In order to receive credit for a course, students must pass all cornerstone assignments with a grade of 80 or higher. Students are given multiple opportunities to complete cornerstone assessments, and need to make arrangements with their teachers to do so.  Please reach out to your student’s teacher if you have questions or concerns, as this is an important time to year to refocus on academics after a long Maine winter. There are also some additional notes to share with you. These include:

Early Dismissal at 1:45 pm - Per Dr. Dolloff’s note, classes will end at 1:45 on Thursday March 14th to allow faculty and staff to attend funeral services for longtime HMS principal Bruce Brann.  Buses will pick up students at 1:50 pm.

Hamlet Film Festival - Monday, March 18th from 5:30 to 6:30 pm in the Flex Room.  Please feel free to join us for an hour long presentation of student-produced Hamlet iMovie projects.  Students worked under the guidance of Al Miller, the artistic director of the Theater Project in Brunswick, through a grant funded by YEF in sophomore English classes.

In case you missed February’s note, here is a quick summary:

Spring Sports Information Night - Monday, March 11th at 6:00 pm. Please join your child in learning more about the upcoming season from our spring coaching staff.
