Dear Parents/Guardians-

This will be the last At-A-Glance for the year. The HMS faculty appreciates the remarkable growth that our students have demonstrated as they moved through this year. We value their kindness and creativity and the lessons they teach us. We are grateful to all of you for your partnership and support, and for the dedication and expertise of our staff who make such a positive, powerful impact on our students’ learning experiences.

For parents of our incoming 5th grade students, you will receive an email that includes the name of your child’s teacher, along with her/his class list, by Friday, June 22.

For parents of 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students, student schedules, which include teacher and course names, will be available on the parent portal on Thursday, June 21. Please select 2018-2019 Schedule on the portal. If you have trouble accessing the Parent Portal, please access the PowerSchool Help page at http://hms.yarmouthschools.org/powerschool-help-page

Just a reminder that the parent portal will be in flux over the next few days as teachers finish up grades and comments. Final grades will be available on Tuesday, June 19.

The last day of school is Tuesday, June 19. Students will be dismissed from HMS at 11:20. Please note that this is different than the 11:00 dismissal time that we’ve had in year’s past. This is due to our new, later start time. A bag lunch will be available for any student who would like to purchase one. Order forms are available on the June menu on the nutrition website. Students can stop by the cafe to pick up lunch at 11:10 on Tuesday.

Lost and Found: Please stop into school before Tuesday, June 19, to claim any items your child(ren) may have misplaced during the year. All unclaimed items will be donated to Goodwill on Friday, June 22.

It is a bittersweet time as we bid farewell to our 8th grade students. We wish them all the best and look forward to hearing about their upcoming high school years. We are excited to welcome our incoming 5th grade students!

Best wishes to you and your families for a wonderful summer!
